NEW LOOK ⇒NEW PROCESS⇒ NEW OPTIONS
Earlier this year we introduced the new look of the Go Vermont web site. We are now introducing the new and improved automated RidePro matching service. This software has already been in use with our partner Go Maine as well as many other organizations across the globe. RidePro software is an internet-based commuter ride matching system that serves many functions. Using the newest generation of RidePro, you will be able to create your own commute account, have control of your information and receive direct data about potential matches.
RidePro Ridesharing software is owned by the Trapeze Software Group, founded in 1990. Their expertise is in planning, operations, scheduling, mapping, project management, and systems integration in their effort to build and manage Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)and Advanced Public Transportation Systems (APTS) using the latest technologies. Dynamic Ridesharing (RidePro) is but one of these.
Go Maine is the State of Maine's government-sponsored rideshare program. Like Go Vermont, the Go Maine program is designed to promote and facilitate carpooling and vanpooling. The opportunity for us to partner with Go Maine and Trapeze moves Vermont forward from a high-effort human-administered system that may take days for registered commuters to learn of possible matches, to a state-of-the art commuter ride-matching software. This is essential to meeting increased public demand for commuter options in a cost-effective manner, that provides timely user feedback, improved user communications and travel options, and enhanced reporting to sponsoring agencies for statistical analysis of program effectiveness and user needs. Our partnering arrangement also allows both organizations, Vermont and Maine, to share thereby reducing the costs of administering and maintaining the software for both parties.
We hope you'll like the new features and thank you for registering with Go Vermont!
