Why Own When You Can Share?

The cheapest, healthiest, and most environmentally friendly ways to get around are by walking, biking, or taking the bus. But let’s face it–sometimes you need a car.

CarShare Vermont gives you the freedom to drive when you have to. Here are some of the benefits to using CarShare:

  • Repairs, maintenance, and shoveling snow–we spend a lot of time, energy, and money caring for cars that sit parked most of the time. CarShare Vermont eliminates the hassles of owning a car, without compromising convenience.
  • With a choice of vehicles near your home or work, it’s easy to get a car when you need one.
  • When you finish your trip, just park it, lock it, and walk away; they’ll take care of the rest.
  • When you become a CarShare Vermont member, you join a community of fun-loving, practical and courageous people and organizations that are saving money, making our community more livable, and improving the environment.

How It Works

Living in Vermont, everyone needs a car sometimes, but you don’t have to own one (or more) to enjoy the convenience of driving.

  • Multi-Purpose Car Rental Service. When you join CarShare Vermont, you gain 24/7 access to our various neighborhood-based fleet of vehicles. Grab a Prius for an hour to run some errands, take a Subaru to the mountain for the day, or help a friend move with our pickup truck or mini-van.
  • Easy As Pie. Whenever you need to drive, reserve the vehicle of your choice near you, get in, and go. And when you’re done, return it to its parking spot and be on your merry way.
  • Leave The Rest To Us. Gas, insurance, parking, roadside assistance, bike racks, snow tires, and more–it’s all included!
  • You Only Pay For What You Use. CarShare Vermont’s all-inclusive rates start at $5.50 an hour and $.30 per mile, with day rates available. You pay according to how much you drive.
