Commuter Challenge</h2> <p>Tentative 2010 Date:</p> <p>May 3rd - May 7th, 2010 <a target="_blank" href="http://www.waytogovt.org">www.waytogovt.org</a></p> <p>The 2010 event is in the planning stages, so watch for details to appear over the next several months as plans are formalized.&nbsp; The year 2010&nbsp;will mark a transition of&nbsp;the event from the oversight by CCMPO to VEIC (Vermont Energy&nbsp;Investment Corporation) to&nbsp;effectively move the program&nbsp;statewide.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h4><a target="_blank" href="http://www.riderct.org/">Pool to School</a></h4> <p>A number of schools in Vermont participated&nbsp;this year for the 6th annual&nbsp;&quot;Pool to School&quot; event&nbsp;to highlight carpooling and public transportation.&nbsp; This provides an opportunity for parents whose children attend the same school to join and/or form a carpool to the child's school.&nbsp; The Program in Vermonyt is geared to area 4th, 5th&nbsp;and 6th grade students.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Students were asked to draw posters which are submitted to RCT.&nbsp; County winners traveled to the&nbsp;Vermont Statehouse where they&nbsp;were presented&nbsp;with Certificates from Governor&nbsp;Jim Douglas.&nbsp;In the course or his presentation, the Governor commented how much he&nbsp;admires and approves of&nbsp;the program and would like to see it expand to other areas of the State.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Contact Rural Community Transportation, Inc.
