Disabled American Veterans is a network of volunteer drivers nationwide that help all veterans with transportation to and from VA Medical Centers. This service can be coordinated via the Hospital Service Coordinator at the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, or by calling the Vermont DAV directly.

Green Mountain Transit Agency (GMTA)

GMTA is the public transportation provider for Washington, Lamoille, Mad River Valley, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties and the towns of Williamstown, Washington and Orange, with connecting services to Chittenden and Caledonia counties. Discounted fares are available to those 6 to 17, seniors age 60+ and passengers with disabilities. One child 5 years and under rides free when accompanied by a fare paying adult. (LINK Express routes are excluded). Additional children pay the discounted fare. GMTA also provides deviated fixed route service and volunteer driver programs.
