Disabled American Veterans is a network of volunteer drivers nationwide that help all veterans with transportation to and from VA Medical Centers. This service can be coordinated via the Hospital Service Coordinator at the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, or by calling the Vermont DAV directly.

CIDER (Champlain Islanders Developing Essential Resources)
CIDER operates a fleet of vehicles, some wheel chair accessible, to help citizens of the Lake Champlain Islands get to and from medical appointments. Although there is no set charge for riding on one of these vehicles, donations are always gratefully accepted and encouraged. The recommended donation for a “one-way ride” is $2.00. CIDER also operates a volunteer driver program.
